Joe Chesterton: Chief Finance Officer Barking and Dagenham Council Quits

It would seem that Joe Chesterton the Chief Finance Officer at Barking and Dagenham Council has stood down from his job. Joe was a very good officer and well respected. As the Labour Party and the Council close ranks it will be hard to fathom what exactly caused Joe to quit. However, the councils finances are in a very shaky position. Revenue is down and the money from central government is drying up. At the presentation of their last budget Labour made no attempt to try and save money by tightening up the system and cutting back on their stupid politically correct polices. It would seem the chickens are coming home to roost.

A number of labour controlled councils in recent times have been taking into special measures by the Labour government. Is Barking and Dagenham and its Labour Party about to feel a tap on the shoulder?
