Peter Mandelson, The Business Secretary, has said he would be ready to serve a Conservative government.
His statement proves, if proof were needed, that there is no difference between Nu Labour and the Tories.
But there is a factor has been overlooked in this story.
As anyone with a memory longer than a goldfish knows, Peter Mandelson is a former EU commissioner, and in that role he has worked tirelessly to ensure EU policies are implemented in this country.
His comment that he would be perfectly willing to serve a Tory government is dictated by a sinister motive, that motive being, to ensure that the next PM, David Cameron, carries on making the right decisions just in case the few Eurosceptics inside the Conservative party become a threat to anyone working to cement a European Superstate. This shouldn’t surprise anyone.
All EU commissioners are entitled to a generous pension, here we have a powerful incentive to promote the European Union; and given the Mandelson propensity for self agrandisement and the aquisition of wealth, it is not surprising that his choice of a rat for his next role in the pantomime of the sinking of HMS NuLab is typecasting on a grand scale.
P.S. You may have noticed that we refer to the Business Secretary as Peter Mandelson, and not Lord Mandelson. This omission is deliberate; it is my belief that only extraordinary people working for the good of their community and country deserve the appellation of Lord.
Peter Mandelson is not one of them; he has and will continue to betray his country and the people he purportedly represents.

I thought the reason is that the parties are all the same and it would not make that much difference to him whom he serves as long as he continues to be in the political establishment.
