We have been there eight years and still no Bin Laden, still taliban getting stronger and now moving the fight to Pakistan border where US troops are stationed. The CIA built up the Taliban to fight the Soviets and now the British troops are reaping that whirlwind. To compare Afghanistan with Iraq as the interviewer does is stupid. In the first gulf war Iraq invaded Kuwate which brought in the Desert storm which involved UK troops. The second gulf war with Iraq was brought about by a lied dossier about WMD which never existed. As far as I know, Afghanistan has invaded no one, there are no WMD there and their government was no threat to anyone. We are Really there to ensure that the US oil pipeline from the caspian sea to Pakistan gets protected. Our lads are being used as a private army for the Oil companies in the USA, the joke is that we pay for it.
