After a defeat of historic proportions with exploding unemployment figures in a country in which one under 25 out of four is jobless, President Sarkozy abolished the Green Tax also known as Carbon Tax. Nicolas Sarkozy said that he is getting rid of the Green Tax because the Green Tax is making France uncompetitive. So what about the Environment? What about all the caviar and champagne and charter flights to Copenhagen to scare the entire World about an impending environmental disaster? Rubbish, rubbish and more rubbish. The French have done away with it and we in Britain are being taken for a ride with taxes that are not meant to save the environment, but to try and cope with the financial mess created by the Labour government.
What about the national deficit? Well, they said that it will continue to grow with borrowing of not less of 164 billion Pound and this on the basis that the economy will grow by more than 3 per cent a year. Where and when did we hear this before and we then ended up with growth of about 0.1 per cent? We are being governed by a bunch of idiots that are leading us straight into a situation of Default. Forget about the Environmental Nonsense. Stop burdening and scaring people. We need jobs, millions of jobs, and we need them now. Wealth can only be built on real jobs.
