A few weeks ago the BNP’ website reported a story about BNP MEP Andrew Brons making a speech at a Yorkshire branch of the Sea Cadets.
It seems Mr Brons attendance upset the Labour party and a local newspaper (The Star) felt obliged to print a negative story about us.
A South Yorkshire Sea Cadets group has sailed into a political storm after an extreme right-wing politician was invited to their presentation night.
Doncaster Sea Cadets’ TS Lightning base is at the centre of the row after the BNP’s Euro MP Andrew Brons spoke at the event.Their headquarters in London has launched an investigation and promised rapid action.
Some parents are understood to have been upset by the visit of Mr Brons, the BNP’s Euro MP for the Yorkshire and the Humber, to the awards evening.
He made a speech, although it was not political.Don Valley MP Caroline Flint said: “The Sea Cadets do a tremendous amount of good work in Doncaster, but I share the concern of staff, parents and guardians that a platform was given to someone with such extreme, unpleasant and divisive views as Andrew Brons.”
A spokesman at the headquarters of the Sea Cadets, Britain’s largest maritime youth charity, said they were “shocked and extremely concerned” to hear of the visit.
Chief executive Martin Coles said: “We are investigating how this was able to happen. The Sea Cadets is a non–discriminatory youth organisation open to all that is not affiliated to or associated with any political party.
“We are taking this matter very seriously.
“We do not support the views of the BNP and are greatly concerned that as a result of this visit upset has been caused to staff, cadets, parents and guardians.
“The charity will identify how this was able to happen and will put in place processes to ensure that it does not happen again.”
Mr Brons told The Star he did not attend the awards as a representative of the British National Party and no mention of the BNP was made to staff, cadets or parents.
“I gave a short talk at the end of the awards ceremony in which I referred to the great service that Sea Cadets can provide and the valuable experience that they can gain from their membership.
“Needless to say there were no political messages, party political or otherwise, included in the speech.
“I understand that the local MP and the Mayor of Doncaster were both asked to make the awards and both declined the invitation.
“I find the quotation attributed to the organisation’s headquarters ‘we do not support the views of the BNP’ to be rather superfluous.
“As a charitable organisation they are not there to support or decry the views of any political party.
“I shall be happy to attend any other non-political events anywhere in my constituency in the future and I will behave as professionally and non-politically as I did on this occasion.
“I only hope that other elected office holders who are invited to such events can follow my example.”
Nice to see the Labour party and the chief executive of the Sea Cadets joining forces to put pressure on a legitimate political party.
Martin Coles should properly ask, what were the other MEPs from Yorkshire and Humber doing that evening as they were nowhere to be seen.
It appears that Mr Brons had been invited only after other elected politicians found themselves too busy to attend, and if this is the case Martin Coles should shut his mouth.
On the other hand this apparently negative article demonstrates that Andrew Brons is working for the local community, and if Mr Brons does run again in 2014 (which is to be hoped for) those who voted for the busted flush of UKIP may well decide to vote BNP, and given the sad state of this country it might be, that by then the lazy sods who could not get off their fat arses and walk to the polling booth will see the mistake they made in the general Election by not voting BNP.
GIUSEPPE DE SANTIS

The Sea Cadets are a great British institution and Andrew Brons has shown his respect for it, now if all the maistream traitors want to be seen at immigrant events in Bradford Oldham Brixton etc thats what we have come to expect from them but when an elected patriot wants to attend a British event (as you pointed out where were all the others including UKIP ) then leave the man alone
End Title for BNP vids.

They said that many parents were upset by Andrew Brons visit. They did not mention how many parents nor did they quote comments from these supposedly outraged parents. I think we need to be told.
I am one of the parents at Doncaster Sea Cadets. I think the whole thing is a farce. Andrew Brons was charming, took his time to speak to all the kids, and gave a great speech in support of the Cadets. I don't know who was quite so outraged, but they are so WRONG in their opinions. There was nothing wrong with him visiting- GET A LIFE
I think there would be more parents upset by the Metropolitan police guarding muslim s…. burning our poppy, than a true Brit meeting the Sea Cadets.
How about a British Oath keepers organisation, to uphold our Constitution and protect the British people, to not be used against other Western European peoples, and a public oath keepers agreement that we will assist any one who suffers as a result of upholding their oath to protect our Country and our People.

Brons has class. When the likes of Flint try and make something of this it's she who looks the more 'extreme'.
And I'd imagine that parents who encourage their children to join the Sea Cadets and similar organisations rather tend toward patriotism so see Flint and other treasonous establishment party pols as far more 'unpleasant' than Brons and the BNP.
