I had postponed writing about it but I reckon this is the time to mention this troubling issue. What Simon Hughes as a private person chooses to do with his life, interacting with consenting adults, is a matter of personal choice. I will not patronize anybody by criticizing their sexuality.
Having said that, I would like to point out the inconsistencies of being an openly homosexual politician that promotes Islam, a religious ideology that clearly condemns homosexuality in the most brutal terms talking about castration or even capital punishment for those who engage in homosexual activities.
Islam not only rejects Western attitudes of tolerance towards all sexual persuasions. Islam goes far beyond the realm of what is considered to be human and humane. So I reckon that Simon Hughes is very much supporting the very same people that come the day will destroy anybody who does not conform to its image and this would undoubtedly include people like Mr. Simon Hughes.
Looking at the practices implemented in many Muslim countries today, many politicians, especially Liberal Democrats, and their followers should think very carefully about the kind of ’Multiculturalism’ they are promoting.

Verminous no-bodies like Hughes remind me of the fable of the frog and the scorpion: The frog wanted to be carried over a river by the scorpion but was afraid he might get killed by his enemy. There is much duplicity within the Islamic communities. Various sects are different in what is acceptable regarding Homo Sexual acts.
