Interesting article from the Northern Echo about a St George’s Day parade organized by BNP super activist Pete Molloy.
For a change the local paper wrote a relatively balanced article, no small achievement given that we are in election time.
A St George’s Day parade which had not received council approval went off without a hitch on Saturday.
The parade through Spennymoor, County Durham, was organised by the Spennymoor English Cultural Society.
Durham County Council had not given permission as paperwork including risk assessments and insurance had not been completed.
Organiser Pete Molloy admitted he had not filled in the relevant “bureaucratic papers” but said common sense had prevailed.
Police attended the event to ensure the parade passed safely along the roads and said no criminal incidents had been reported by the end of the day.
The 50-strong group stopped at the cenotaph to sing Jerusalem and were accompanied by a car playing parade music driven by British National Party campaigner Adam Walker.
It was the second time Mr Molloy, a BNP activist, has organised the parade and he said next year he hopes to work with Spennymoor Town Council to grow the event.
Mr Molloy, who handed out Easter eggs to passing children, said: “I’d like to thank the Town Hall for flying the England flag from its building and I hope next year that Spennymoor Town Council will work with us to make the parade much better.”
Meanwhile, the Big Jug in Durham decided to stake its claim to being England’s most patriotic pub.
To celebrate the feast day of England’s patron saint, landlord Daniel Doyle, 22, covered the walls with red and white bunting and balloons.
Miniature St George flags were handed out and there was a free pre-royal wedding picnic with Bombardier English bitter on tap pulled by staff dressed as knights.
The 1966 World Cup final was played on the big screen and there was a raffle with English-themed prizes.
Mr Doyle said: “There was brilliant atmosphere and everyone enjoyed themselves.
“A few people had to ask what it was in aid off but once we explained they got into the spirit of it. We hope it will become a regular tradition to rival the success of St Patrick’s Day.”
In Darlington mayor Bryan Thistlethwaite was joined by a large crowd at the town’s market cross as he proposed a toast to St George.
Along with Darlington’s Town Crier, Peter Stenner, a group of German students from Mlheim an der Ruhr received a history lesson on the importance of St George’s day from Councillor Thistlewaite before single red roses were handed to the women in attendance.
Coun Thistlewaite said: “It’s really important to us to celebrate St George’s Day. There was quite a big crowd, we were lucky the weather was so great.”
The most important aspect of this article is that residents will see the positive effect the British National Party has in the community.
Indeed it might be, that next year Durham County Council may well organize and finance events to celebrate St George’s Day, after all a similar thing has happened in Barking & Dagenham.
Two years ago BNP members were the only ones to hold a parade in the borough, as the council never bothered to celebrate it.
As our parades have become more popular, Labour councillors are beginning to understand that they couldn’t ignore it anymore, and this year saw council held events across Barking & Dagenham to celebrate St George’s Day.
I attended the one that took place in Valence Park, I saw people of many races having fun, watching chivalrous knights on charging horses defending the honour of maidens, and exemplifying the behaviour expected of honourable men, the examplar that the our rulers have for decades tried to knock out of us, on the pretext that it is not Politically Correct. The sight of St George killing the Dragon was the highlight of the event.
All of this took place because of the hard work of British National Party activists attempting to bring back a tradition that the PC brigade wanted us to forget.
Let’s hope that the same success the British National Party had in B&D happens in County Durham.
GIUSEPPE DE SANTIS

Good stuff, but that does not mean to say that journalists are friends of the BNP. They should be treated with great respect and distance. The only thing these purveyors of lies will understand is when they are standing among the unemployed queuing at the local job centre. Not that i look down on the work-less, but journalist threw away their awesome right to speak out against the things that they knew were wrong so that they could prolong their miserable pay cheques. Just as the great British pub has reached the end of a line and will have to restrategise to survive in the future so the written word in local newspapers and even national dailies has reached the end of the line. They can't even give away the free 'Standard ' in London now. Journalists never gave the Nationalist movement a fair crack of the whip. So good riddance to bad rubbish.
why are all these articles written by a bluddy foreigner
The bloody foreigner that you are talking about has got more British balls than you or me.
I have seen him selling Voice of Freedom on his own at Dagenham Heathway, which is no longer a safe option.
He has the guts to stand outside polling stations on his own in some pretty rough areas.
When others falter(like myself, for selfish family reasons)You can rely on Guiseppe to step up to the plate.
When some people shout…never surrender..G,never does.
He is a true Brit.
ryan is obviously a red who is upset with his own propaganda that he has been duped into believing..
It's a fair article. They ran it on page 4 with a very nice picture of the parade too. Lots of normal people with red-and-white flags enjoying themselves.
Glad to hear the celebrations went so well.
"scuzz", you came on here and insulted St George's Day, called it a "waste of time", mocked St George and called him an immigrant. Now you are lying by saying you didn't do that. Why do you feel the need to write such snide comments on an article about a family parade? What do you get out of that?
He is very good at organising parades that Mr Peter Molloy.
