Durham Students Union has today voted to disaffiliate itself with the National Union of Students following the latter’s heavy handed and threatening tactics prior to a debate which was due to take place at the university in February. Andrew Brons MEP and Cllr Chris Beverley were both due to attend the debate on behalf of the BNP.

The event was eventually cancelled after threatening letters from the NUS were sent to student leaders at the university leaving them in no doubt that should they continue uphold democracy and freedom of speech, they would face protests by various groups including Unite Against Fascism (sic) and implied there would be violence against students.

“Should you fail to listen to our advice [to cancel the event] you will have a colossal demonstration on your hands. The National Union of Students, Unite Against Fascism, and other anti-fascist organisations are already mobilising nationally and organising coach loads of students to demonstrate at your university on Friday evening. This will no doubt bring with it a lot of negative media attention and if any students are hurt in and around this event responsibility will lie with you.

We would appreciate it if you could outline how you will now proceed with this issue and ensure that those students who are under threat from the BNP’s racist and homophobic principles will be protected.

We await your prompt response.

Anyone who has followed the activities of  the violent outfit, supported by David Cameron and others opposed to democracy, knows that to stand up for freedom means you have a real chance of becoming a victim of the UAF’s hammer wielding thugs and that you will not be protected by the police.

We should congratulate the students of Durham for taking this principled stand against the fascist bullies of the NUS and UAF. They may not support us but that fact that they are taking a stand against those who would deny both them and us our freedom is worthy of our support.

Now let’s see if they grow enough of a backbone to invite us to further debates and actually go ahead with them.

BNP invite to debate sparks concerns

BNP invite to debate sparks concerns

It’s quite hilarious how the antifascists behave much worse than the fascists they claim to detest.

Therefore no one will be surprised to hear that the Police could be called in to maintain order at a student debate after anti-fascists vowed to stop two BNP politicians joining it.

Unite Against Fascism (UAF) said Durham Union Society’s decision to invite the BNP to a multiculturalism debate was disgraceful.

The group wants the meeting cancelled or the invitations withdrawn, and is planning demonstrations outside the Debating Chamber, on the Palace Green, Durham City.

Simon Assas, from UAF, said: “It defies belief. It is a huge error of judgement and they should think about their university’s reputation. It is outrageous.”

Inspector Paul Anderson said Durham Police would speak to event organisers before deciding whether officers were needed outside the debate or whether they would advise it be abandoned.

The Durham Union Society, one of the world’s oldest student debating societies, will discuss the motion: “This house believes in a multicultural Britain”.

For the proposal will be Kulveer Ranger, an advisor to Boris Johnson, and Conservative MP Edward Leigh.

Arguing against will be Andrew Brons, the British National Party MEP for Yorkshire and the Humber, and Chris Beverley, a BNP councillor in Leeds.

Mr Brons said: “If the UAF want to defeat us, why don’t they defeat us with reasoned argument? I look forward to the debate.”

Anna Birley, the president of Durham Union Society, said: “While personally I disagree with the views of the BNP, I respect everyone’s right to freedom of speech.

“As president, I am responsible for promoting open debate, which means inviting people with opposing points of view – the best way to expose them to public scrutiny.”

Professor Chris Higgins, the vice-chancellor of Durham University, said: “I, personally, abhor the views of the BNP which I consider inappropriate, shallow and offensive.

“However, because the university is a strong advocate of freedom of speech, we did not oppose the right of the Durham Union Society to invite BNP members as long as they spoke as part of an open debate in which their views could be challenged.”

The debate, open to society members only, will be held from 8.30pm on Friday, February 12.

Let’s hope that the Durham Union Society will not cave in to UAF pressure.

So, once again, anyone can see who the real fascists are.

Let’s not forget that one UAF supporter wanted to make a deal with Gordon Brown to not put a Tory candidate in Barking to prevent Nick Griffin from dislodging Margaret Hodge.

You couldn’t make it up.

Join Cllr Richard Barnbrook AM for Mayor’s Question Time, 16th Dec

Join Cllr Richard Barnbrook AM for Mayor’s Question Time, 16th Dec

Members and supporters of the British National Party are encouraged to attend the next Mayor’s Question Time at the GLA on December 16th.

Richard Barnbrook will be following up on the response he received to a previous question about the violent disorder of the establishment’s pet thugs, the UAF, at BBC Television Centre prior to Nick Griffin’s appearance on question time.

Question by Richard Barnbrook

Will the Mayor condemn the disgraceful violence and disorder perpetrated by the Unite Against Fascism organisation outside the BBC’s Broadcasting House following Mr Nick Griffin’s lawful invitation onto that evening’s Question Time programme? This behaviour resulted in three police officers being injured. Many politicians and public figures are signatories to this UAF organisation. And will the Mayor ask the Commissioner of the MPS to ban such an assembly should the BBC invite Mr Griffin onto the show at some future date?

Answer by Boris Johnson

The disorder was actually outside Television Centre, not Broadcasting House. I believe that it was counter-productive in the fight against the offensive views of Nick Griffin and the BNP. It diverted the media’s interest away from scrutinising the unpleasantness of Mr. Griffin’s party and only succeeded in giving him even more publicity. I have no intention of banning legal protests against the BNP. I believe in the freedom of speech.

Apparently Mayor Boris supports freedom of speech, so long as it is leftist thugs exerting their freedom. Can you imagine Boris saying the same if and angry crowd of BNP supporters had stormed the BBC in protest against any of his establishment chums?

Come along and show Richard your support at the next Mayor’s Question. Please be at the GLA building (City Hall), adjacent to the south side of Tower Bridge by 9.30am. Mayoral questions start at 10am.

You can see a complete list of Assembly Member Barnbrook’s questions to the Mayor, with answers received, by clicking HERE.

Digg for Victory and Freedom

Digg for Victory and Freedom

Popular Nationalist blogger Green Arrow has had submissions from his site blocked by the website Digg which allows people to promote news, stories and articles from around the web.

Below is the report from the Green Arrow site about how Digg caved in to pressure from searchlight. Please Digg this article from the “share” button below as London Patriot is not yet banned at Digg.

Well it seems that the state paid agents of Searchlight have for once won a minor skirmish against those who speak out for freedom of speech and managed to get the Green Arrow site blocked on Digg.
Thanks for taking the time to contact us at Digg.com regarding your website.

As you know, Digg is a community-driven website – our community has consistently reported the domain to which you refer for Terms of Service violations.

Because unblocking your domain would not be in line with the best interests of the larger Digg community, we will not reverse this decision.
I am not surprised and figured it would only be a matter of time before this happened, the next action I expect Searchlight to take now, will be a coordinated campaign to “Bury” all nationalist articles on DIGG , for which the response will be, from Digg that theirs is a “Community Driven Website“.

I have made a token response shown below:

I am extremely disappointed in your reply and had hoped better from you.

I have clearly been the victim or an organised campaign to block my articles by the state funded and criminal Searchlight Organisation in alliance with the Marxist UAF that seek to prevent the British National Party making progress.

Your weak excuse that DIGG is a Community Driven website is an easy opt out for you to practise your own prejudices against those who oppose the New World Order and expose the corruption of the British Government and speak out against the illegal wars.

When you say that unblocking my domain would not be in the interest of the wider community you are depriving over 300,000 unique readers to my site in the last year, the right to comment on my articles which have been read over a million times and I urge you to think again.

Please have the decency to let me know just what sections of the Terms of Service I have broken?

I should imagine that were DIGG still enabled on my site, that promotes Freedom of Speech, the article informing my readers of your decision would soon hit the hundreds

Green Arrow

So that is done and and we move on. I shall leave the DIGG button on the blog so that people who do think articles worthy of being Dugg will be reminded of how The Establishment silences freedom of Speech with the connivance of Quisling organisations such as Digg and Youtube.

Please continue to register with Digg and make a point of Digging every single nationalist article you come across be it on the BNP site or blogs you visit.

Any nationalist blog is free to take any article from this site and republish without asking permission or even to link back. Take them and use on those days we just do not feel like writing. If you are still on Digg then even better.
