The BNP’s Paul Golding has swept to victory in stunning style in St Mary’s Ward, Swanley. The ward has been in Labour hands for 40 years and was considered their safest seat in Sevenoaks. But the Labour vote crumbled in the face of a solid and professional BNP campaign.
This is the first time that the BNP has had an elected councillor in Kent and and the first south of the river in the South-east.
Paul Golding, known to many as the Truth Truck’s driver and director of British Pride spoke to me on the phone a few minutes ago and was delighted with the result.
“We have fought one of the most professional campaigns I have ever seen with 7 sweeps of the ward, canvassing and leafleting.
I have had great support and can not complain at all about any part of the campaign.”
This stunning result comes just weeks after Mick Barnbrook came within 8 votes of victory in nearby Bexley. The BNP are certainly making themselves known in this part of the world and it can only be a matter of time before more BNP councillors are elected.
The result was as follows:
BNP 408 – PAUL GOLDING, 41.3%
LAB 332
CON 247
London Patriot sends congratulations to Cllr Golding and his hard working team. We also congratulate the good people of St. Mary’s ward for looking past the media lies and having the courage to elect someone who will look after their interests.
