Greenwich British National Party are pleased to announce that Councillor Lawrence Rustem of Barking and Dagenham Council will stand as the candidate in the forthcoming general election in the Greenwich and Woolwich Constituency.
Mr Rustem said “It’s fantastic to give the people of Greenwich and Woolwich the chance to vote for the BNP as opposed to the failed old Parties of Lib Lab and Conservative!”.

Despite the massive publicity and concern about knife crime in recent months, 10 shops in the Greenwich area have been caught selling knives to teenagers, some as young as 14 years old.
The law now states that knives are not to be sold to anyone under the age of 18, but when police cadets were used in a joint operation by trading standards, safer neighbourhood teams and the police, some big name stores were found lacking.
Of course the stores have been quick to say that they have launched investigations and that their procedures would be tightened up and stressed to staff etc. All were let off with just a warning letter.
Of course this kind of sting operation may show up a certain irresponsibility on part of shop staff, but it will do absolutely nothing to prevent knife crime as every teenager in the land has only to walk into their kitchen at home for a ready supply of knives.
Action needs to be taken to tackle the culture of knives, the glorification of black gang culture by the media and to accept and act on the findings of the Met Police that the number of black attackers and white victims are massively disproportionate to the overall population.
The shops caught selling knives to teens are:
Avery Truman, Eltham High Street
B&Q, Bugsby’s Way, Greenwich
CK Builders Merchants, Herbert Road, Plumstead
LouRoys, Herbert Road, Plumstead
Pound Shop, Plumstead High Street
Pound Stop, Pound Place, Eltham
Poundland, Powis Street, Woolwich
Sainsbury’s, Bugsby\’s Way, Greenwich
Sainsbury’s, Woolwich High Street
